Please take this day and give thanks to the men and women who died to keep this country FREE.

Remember what this day is all about. 

Memorial Day is the American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. 

Gift Box created using the Expressions In Ink Designer Series Paper

Stampin' Up! has come up with the most beautiful Designer Series Paper. This Designer Series Paper called Expressions In Ink can be ordered separately or in the Expressions In Ink Suite found on page 96 of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. 

To create this box, you'll need a piece of Basic White Crd Stock 12x12 cut to 12x11. 

on the 11" side, score at 2", 4 1/2", 6 1/2" and 9" (this is indicated by the red score lines

Score on the 12" side at 2" and 10" (this is indicated by the red score lines

Cut on the lines indicated in black. (Up to the 2' score line)

Once you have scored the card stock, it will look like this.

Then turn the paper over over and add Tear and Tape as indicated in the picture below.

The wording reads Tape in red, but it looks a little hard to read. 

Then remove the first row of tape and start putting your box together. 

Then remove the 2nd row of tape and attach it to the first taped portion. 

You now have the box bottom. Remove the 3rd row of tape and attach it to the last tab. 

Your box is now complete all you need to do is fold the top portion over the bottom portion and DECORATE. 

I used the Expression In Ink Designer Series Paper and the Stamp set from the suite to Create my gift box.

May Class Information

 It was a fun and busy week. We had our May Card Class and here are the cards we created.

                                                 Card #1 – Flowers of Friendship

Instructions

1.     Thick Basic White Card Stock cut at 4 ¼” x 11” scored at 5 ½”.

2.     On the first piece of Evening Evergreen 3 7/8” x 5 1/8” card stock attached to Card base using Stampin’ Seal. 

3.     A scrap piece of Basic White Card Stock die cut using the 2^nd largest die from the Scalloped Contours Dies. Stamp the large cluster of flowers on this piece using Memento Black. Color the flowers with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends, and the leaves with Soft Succulent. 

4.     Stamp the sentiment in the lower right corner using Memento Black. 

5.     On scrap pieces of Basic White Card Stock, stamp the 3 large flowers, 3 small flowers, 3 small leaves and 3 large leaves from the Flowers of Friendship stamp set using Memento Black and color the flowers with Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends and the leaves with Soft Succulent.  (Use separate scrap pieces of Basic White as the punching can be a little tricky. The punch is the Flower and Leaves punch that can be purchased as a bundle with the stamp set.

6.     Attach the small flowers to the large flower using Multi-Purpose Glue, Stampin’ Seal. Or Glue Dots, and then attach the 3 flowers randomly to the card front using Multi-Purpose Glue, or glue dots. attach the leaves as shown in the picture.

7.     Attach the finished card front to the Evening Evergreen Card Stock using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

8.     On the inside, attach the second piece of 3 7/8” x 5 1/8” Evening Evergreen Card Stock to the right side.

9.     On a piece of 3 ¾” x 5” Basic White Card Stock, stamp the flower cluster and color the flowers with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends and the Leaves with Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends.
